Terms of use
Beta, no guarantees
Heritage is a closed beta offered as is, without warranties. Progress, characters and items can be reset or lost, and the service can stop at any time.
Your account
You are responsible for your account and password. Do not share it. One person per account.
Conduct
You agree to follow the rules. We can warn, suspend or ban accounts that break them, with or without notice, and staff decisions are final.
Virtual items have no real-world value
Items, currency and points in the game and in the bug bounty have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money. Real-money trading is forbidden. Donations support the server and do not create any right over the service.
Changes
We can change these terms. The date above shows the last update. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
Privacy
We collect only what we need to run the server. We do not sell your data and the site has no ads or tracking.
What we store
- Account: username, email, your password stored as a one-way hash (we cannot read it), creation date and the IP address used to register.
- Game data: your characters, items and progress.
- Logs: connections to the game server and downloads of the launcher and game files (IP address and amount downloaded), kept for a limited time to keep the service secure and to fight abuse.
- Discord link: if you join the bug bounty, the ID of your Discord account linked to your game account.
- Reports and donations: the bug reports you send and, if you donate, the donation record.
Chat translation
Game chat is translated by our own automatic translation service, which runs on the Heritage server, so players of different languages can talk. The text of your messages is used only to translate it: we do not store chat messages or send them to outside services. If that ever changes, this page and the rules will say so before it happens.
Site storage
The site keeps in your browser only your language, your theme (light or dark) and, when you are logged in, a session token. It does not use advertising cookies.
Why we use it
To run the game, to log you in, to protect the service from abuse and cheating, to review reports and to pay bug bounty rewards.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, including your account. Contact us on Discord and we will answer as soon as we can.
Contact
For anything about your data or these terms, talk to the staff on our Discord server.
