Requirements

Install in 4 steps

  1. Download and extract

    Extract the zip into an empty folder with about 25 GB free. Avoid Program Files.

  2. Open the launcher

    Open Heritage Launcher.exe. Do not rename it: the launcher updates itself and needs its original name.

  3. Wait for the first download

    The first run downloads the game (about 20 GB). After that it only downloads what changed.

  4. Log in

    Use the account you created on the site and press Play.

Windows and antivirus warnings

Windows may show "Windows protected your PC" when you open the launcher. This happens because the launcher does not have a paid digital signature yet. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".

If your antivirus deletes files from the game folder, add the folder to its exclusions list and run the launcher again so it downloads them again.

Create your account

Register on the site with a username (4 to 13 letters or digits), a password (8 characters or more) and an email. You use the same account in the launcher and in game.

Turn on chat translation

In game, type one of these commands in the chat to choose the language you want to read:

Translated lines show the language tag, for example [en] Name: text, [Party en], [Guild en] or [Whisper en]. It is automatic translation: it can get slang and game terms wrong.

Common problems

Windows says it protected my PC

Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". The launcher has no paid signature yet.

Files disappear from the game folder

Your antivirus is deleting them. Add the game folder to the antivirus exclusions and open the launcher again.

The launcher does not download the game

Check that the folder has about 25 GB free and that you extracted the whole zip, with the launcher.ini file next to the launcher. Do not rename the launcher.

The download stopped or failed

Close the launcher and open it again. It checks the files and downloads what is missing or changed.

I cannot log in

Use the username and password of the account created on this site. Check that the server shows Online on the home page. If you forgot your password, ask the staff on Discord: the site has no password reset yet.

The chat is not translated

Type @lang en, @lang pt or @lang es in game chat. Chat is translated into the language you choose.
