Getting started

Install the launcher, create your account and your first character.

Heritage is a custom-version MapleStory private server. You need Windows and about 25 GB of free disk space.

1. Install

  1. Download the launcher from the Download page and extract it into an empty folder (not Program Files).
  2. Open Heritage Launcher.exe and pick your language (pt, en or es) at the top. The first run downloads the game, about 20 GB. It downloads several files at once and shows speed and time remaining. After that it only downloads what changed, and it updates itself.
  3. Windows may say "Windows protected your PC", because the launcher has no paid digital signature yet. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". If your antivirus deletes files in the folder, add the folder to its exclusions.

2. Create your account

Create the account on the Account page. The username takes 4 to 13 letters or digits, the password 8 to 72 characters, and you give an email. Then log in with the same data in the launcher.

3. Create a character

Character creation offers Resistance, Explorer, Cygnus, Aran, Evan and Dual Blade. The other entries are switched off for now.

Good to know

  • Rates are custom for EXP, drop, meso and NX, and any change is announced on Discord and in the news.
  • If the game stops answering (attacks, portals, channel change), type @dispose. See the command list.
